About Me

My name is Candice, and I am a witch and a scientist. I graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Geology. I am now working toward my PhD in Astronomy & Planetary Sciences, with an emphasis on alteration mineralogy in glacial and hydrothermal analogs for Mars. 

I started Drunken Unicorn Apothecary in 2016, inspired by my love for rocks, crystals, witchcraft, and my mom's late soap business with good-smelling things. I started selling at witch markets and grew into my online space. Since starting grad school, I have relocated to a town that doesn't have a large presence of witchy shops or people, and being a woman in "astronomy" is hard enough as it is. So I don't advertise myself that much in this small town. With that being said, the community I have built over the years is even more important to me now than ever. Being isolated in a smaller town than I am used to, while going through the hardest thing I have ever done, makes it all so much more difficult. Just know that I love you and am so excited you have chosen to be a part of my little community. You inspire me every day to keep going and not give up on any of my dreams, even when people think they shouldn't belong together. <3
